the Charity

Vets Without Borders follows the innovative and progressive work of Veterinarians without Borders/ Vétérinaires sans Frontières (VWB/VSF) and the Mexi-Can Vet Project.

Vets Without Borders

VWB/VSF-Canada's mission is to work for, and with, communities in need to foster the health of animals, people, and the environments that sustain us. All of their programs are grounded in the philosophy that the health of animals, people, and the ecosystems we share cannot be treated as separate problems.

The Mexi-Can Vet Project actively participates in improving the welfare of dogs and cats in Mexico and inspires animal lovers in Canada to donate to help making sterilization campaigns possible. Working in partnership with the Jaltemba Bay Animal Rescue (JBAR), Mexican veterinarians and other veterinary groups, Mexi-Can sends Canadian volunteer teams to Jaltemba Bay twice a year. These teams spay and neuter over 200 dogs and cats each clinic, as well as providing vaccinations, dental surgery and other care essential to animal welfare.
